A Perfect Union of Art | Gareth Edwards — MYgration Mini Documentary
Art has a way of connecting people, preserving culture, and telling stories that words alone cannot always express. A Perfect Union of Art is a mini documentary featuring Gareth Edwards, an artist originally from St. Kitts whose journey reflects the connection between migration, identity, and creative expression.
Created as part of the MYgration storytelling initiative, this project explores the experiences, perspectives, and cultural influences that shape an individual's journey. Filmed at A Perfect Union Gallery Shop in Ocoee, Florida, the documentary highlights Gareth’s story and celebrates how art can bring people together across cultures and communities.
Through Anide’s Visual Chronicles, my goal was to capture more than the artwork itself. I wanted to help share the story behind the artist, honor his journey, and create a visual experience that encourages audiences to connect with the person and experiences behind the art.
The MYgration Film Festival, presented by FusionFest, celebrates personal stories of migration and the diverse experiences that shape Central Florida's community.
